So is it just me or are car shops here a dying breed? it seems like anything that gets opened is shut down within a year wether it be a tint shop, car audio shop, or a speed shop it just doesn't make it here. Anyone have any insight as to why Spokane fights against those business so hard yet we have a track? It's all just kind of backwads to me.

it's not like what it use to be, but i figure they have to be good if they are still around, still in business.

for the tint guys, it has dwindled, but the good ones left are single-person operations who have overbooked schedules, slightly higher rates (cause they can), and much better quality by far. but im not into tinting anymore.

not to toot my own horn but Shelley Performance is alive and well. We have stepped up to some Domestic tunning and have had experience with many different standalone systems, we have a Dynjet dyno and and KNOW how to use it, we have many different servicesand do all types of fab and specialty builds.

So feel free to give us a call at anytime, we are open to all and turn down no one and are very honest. 509-891-0177

Hope this does not make anyone mad for me posting on this subject but i am just trying to put the word out.

Thanks and have a good day

The really big deal about Phil, Brian and Marty at Shelley's is that they are competent and genuinely good, friendly and honest all the time.

Snows seems okay, even with ridiculous prices. Transworks I believe is doing okay, but I've had the pleasure of meeting some of those arrogant a-hole's and they won't get a dime of mine. Motortrenz eventually shut down, mainly b/c alot of their business was illegal tint, and everyone knew it. Radioactive always seemed busy, but pricey. Online killed it for parts, DIY's killed the installs. Tinting shops seem strong to me, Spokane Sunscreen seems alive and well, and they're the only ones that matter to me.

I either do it myself or have buddies that can show me how. I think that is what is becoming more and more prevelent these days. If and when there is something I need a shop to do its either Shellys or Circiut City for my new/indepth audio needs.

There just isnt a market for more than one 'tuner' shop in Spokompton. Thats why we keep seeing the high turnover in shops. As much as the owners want there to be, the need isnt in the market for their services.
