My Project: Looking for 90's Camero
I want to take my '90 RX-7 to the track.
Who's sponsoring Track days in the Pacific N.W. for 2010?
ORP? Spokane?
Do you have to be a 'club' member to run events?

What are the requirements to drive with your group?
Whom do I contact prior to the track day?

I am currently working on a tech sheet with the Raceway for street cars. I will post up when done. I have 12 confirmed as of now. I am still figuring out the money exchange issue. I will keep you posted if you are interested. Basics are that the cars must be in good mechanical condition no oil leaks, good brakes, good U-joints, no loose panels, good glass, DOT helmet, approved seatbelts, good tires, etc. I will send out Tech sheets and everyone is expected to have a good car when they show up with no defects in accordance with the tech sheet. Cars will get reteched before being allowed on the track. If you pay show up and car is not in Tech spec your out of luck.

Tim

I will be the point of contact since the track rental is in my name and I am signing all the paperwork Thanks

Will there be instruction available? Or, is this an open practice?

I am working on getting a professional driver but it an additional $250-300 for the day so it depends if enough people want one and want to kick in a little more it can be done. I am going to try to go to school in June so hopefully will have drivers tips plus I have rode this track on bike track days It should be fun gonna break it up in 3 classes Novice, Intermediate, and speed racers LOL

I've done (2) motorcycle track days on the OLD track. With the remodel it will be interesting.
I'm really aiming to gain a driving education.
Please keep me informed if there will be instruction available. aka BMW/Porsche club's type.
Last thing I want is to get in someone's way.

LOL you won't get in anyones way. I am going to break it up in classes everyone feels comfortable with and start the cars at 10-15 second intervals so no bumping off the line. If someone starts in the novice class and turns good times they can bump up to next class as well if someone starts up and is holding up cars will bump them down. NOT a RACE a driver improvement day and for each person to leave feeling more comfortable and confident with thier car under speed

Hello:

Just stumbled across this site and post poking the interweb.

If you're interested, I compile a list of open lapping and HPDE events held in the PNW. It lives here: Link to pacific northwest HPDE calendar

I try to keep it relatively up to date. Scott Adare and BMW IE are always the last to post. Some other info about club requirements, race gas options, the and the like provided as well.

Hope to get out to Spokane one of these years. If there were someplace decent to crash down in Grass Valley, I'd be more willing to visit ORP too.

Getting lazy and soft.

Cheers.

Okay for anyone interested and that can control them seleves on the track. Ie not bump the other cars and not wreck. I have the road course secured for an individual street car day. I am limiting it to 25 cars max from 8-5. There some rules and a tech form that each car has to be teched. If you are interested send me an email at cbrrash@yahoo.com and I'll send you the application and tech form. It will $180.00 for each car with 3 classes,
Novice those that are new to the track and just want to see how their car performs with alittle speed and cornering at speed.
Intermediate class for those with a little track experience and can maintain decent track laps. and
Advanced for those that can lap at great times and don't care about how much they wear down their tires
This is touted as a driver improvement day which it is, but it is not a race there are no lap times no awards for how many people you pass or how many laps you get in. It is for you the driver to get comfortable with your car and to get to know how far you can push it and still be smooth remember smooth is fast.
This will be alot of fun but in order to get as much track time as possible it is limited to the first 25 cars, I already have 8 cars who have emailed me about interest.
I know it is a Thursday but the track rental was more cost affective. If this works out I will try to make it an annual event. I am not making a dime on it but I want to get out on the track so this is the best way to do it. The $180.00 covers the track rental, EMS standby, Insurance, and track incidentals.
