I Drive: with lights and sirens

My Project: oh you'll see soon enough
Thats right I said SS....
this is my $1500.00 craigslist find..
its a 1995 Chevy Caprice with the 4.3L V-8. Very nice sounding TRUE dual exhaust barking out of two 40 series Flowmaster mufflers. Leather Interior. 15" Chrome wheels.. Custom tinting the chevy bowtie is actually blue window tinting. I even made a little SS emblem for the trunk lid. I took the "Classic" and cut out the two S's and re aplied them. I could have EASILY made this car a Impala SS "Clone" but I chose to make it a Caprice SS. Something a bit different!!

I am working on a Custom two tone paint job with my Sons teacher who is also a member of the forum. (theBAT)
and Im replacing the front grill with a Impala SS style grill.

Enjoy the pictures and the short video my son and I made.

And the video...

Nice find! I like all big body RWD cars. Any plans for the powerplant? Sounds nice!

Trying to talk my buddy out. Of this 383 block he has in his garage. That would make this thing a GREAT sleeper.

Just a quick note to let you know that Chevrolet made a Caprice SS from 1994-1996. The Caprice looked like the Impala SS, with the exception, instead of the Impala SS emblem decal on the rear quarter panels, it had Caprice SS.

However they were only sold in the Middle East, because the people over there would not buy a car with the name Impala because its a deer/antelope in Africa.

The other difference is the head lights are the T-84 head lights. The head lights were on the outside and the park lights on the inside, just opposite of the USA version and the focus design was such that the lights focused about trunk height which is much better than what cars in the USA have. I purchased the Caprice SS decals from GM and you last I checked get the headlights as well. The headlights are a steep price some where around $300.00. Also the SS did not come with the smaller engine 4.3 v8 (265 c.i.) but the 5.7 350 c.i.

I hope this information will help you.
