I have a chevy 4 cyl.that is making awlful sound like a lifter or piston.anyway took it to mech.he change timing chane adjustment key and all things in that area.still no better.truck runs great but sounds like desiel.93,000 miles its a 2001 in great shape.has anyone had this problem or maybe could direct me somewhere for advice.im allready$ 380 in the hole and truck still same.gratfully,capt rick

Rod bearing(s) for the loss?

Sounds bad... If it rattles and sounds as noisy as a diesel, it's prolly time for a teardown or replacement motor.
