I Drive: a 1991 Mazda Miata, with TEETH!
Well a few weeks ago my dad and I went on a bold adventure. Instead of flying back from Maryland, my dad had the crazy idea to drive out and pick me up. I thought that'd cool. So 2800 miles out 3200 back. 10 long days of driving. It was fun. All in a lowered 1.6L 1991 Mazda Miata. It was a struggle to fit all the stuff in the car, but we managed.

I hereby submit that the Miata is a worthy car of any long distance road trip.

My dad has the pictures on his computer. I'll get a hold of them and upload a few.

The MPG was great! Got an average of 36 with a high of 42. not bad for it's age/ mileage/ load.

My Project: Getting enough money for an M3
Definetly a fun trip. Did it once from Glen Burnie through Denver to Spokane, in a 1970 VW Beetle. Not what I would call a "road trip" car. This makes me wanna get out on a road trip again. Soon.

It was a long trip but worth it. The Miata isn't a car I'd think of as a road trip car... But doing a road trip is more about the journey anyway, and having an odd car just makes the memories better.
