Audi A3 Tire Recommendations?

I found recently that after (only!) 25K miles my Pirreli P6 all seasons OEM tires are due for replacement. Yikes - didn't see that coming!

The dealer can sell me another pair for ~900 including balance, alignment, and some taxes. But I really don't want to have to replace the tires every 2 years. They should at least last 30 - 40 K miles.

What I want to know is what other choices do I have? The tire market does not seem to like the 94 load rating the A3 requires. Tire size is 225 45 R17 94H.

I looked at some Michellins but they done come in 94 load rating at 225, closest I can find is 235. But plus sizing my tires would open a whole other set of problems I'd like to avoid.

Thoughts?

You're gonna have a tough time finding skins for the A-3 that are not performance tires. Performance tires don't last. (as you've already figured out..LOL!)

The best you can do is keep 'em rotated.

We've been running BFG G-Force T/A's on the GTI and were able to squeeze about 28K out of them..I figured that was pretty damn good.

Hell...I burn thru a set of tires in less than 3K on my bike, so close to 30K is good!
