I think if your shit came with it, keep it. If not, I would be pretty hesitant to put one on.

I like some cars that come with them w/o, and very rarely does an aftermarket one look good.

Yep both my Super Sports have them. 96 Impala SS and 03 Monte Carlo SS Pace Car. The Impala's is kinda weak sauce but the Monte's is good looking, like the Nascars

I actually prefer spoilers on my vehicle. I have and will only use factory spoilers though. Even if they are put on by me, I will choose the OEM look to put on.

I'd agree with that. The only option my SVX didn't have was the spoiler (I wouldn't have gotten it either for $600). When I still thought the SVX was a sweet car, I looked into buying a factory black spoiler to put on.

The spoiler must match the car. you can't mix styles. if the car looks god wiht out a spoiler, putting a good looking spoiler on it will NOT make it look better, in most cases.

Some cars need them to complete the look, some cars don't

If its a huge freaking wing seen on cars that 90% of the time get no real function from it no. If the car actually can use downforce in the rear I won't really knock a GT wing, some cars they look good on and can use the benefit if it is truly an aero upgrade. I toyed with the idea of a huge wing on my mustang but thought better of it. Instead I will be going with the track tested and proven Steeda race wing on my car. Taller than the stock mustang spoiler but not as tall as what you see on lots and lots o ricers.

unless you're actually going to USE it, then it's just retarded. even if your car needs it at speed, dont put it on unless you actually DRIVE that fast, because chances are, it's really really ugly. 99.9% of the spoilers on cars i see are ugly as all hell.

I have a tendency to like stock spoilers. Chances are if it is a stock spoiler it just looks a whole lot better then an aftermarket one. I do not see the point of putting those 2 foot tall spoilers on the back of the front wheel drive cars that top out at the speeds that these spoilers start to become functional. My 96 Mustang GT has the stock spoiler on it and I think it fits the body very well. I have yet to see an aftermarket spoiler for a Mustang that I like.

Found stock painted GT spoilers for sale on ebay. Under $60 BIN. They sold out of DSG though.

Yes, all my cars came stock with them. I have done a little changing from base model to Trans Am or Z28 spoilers, but they look really weird without it.

SRWitt - good call, without the spoiler the Mustangs look weak, they need something back there.

The look has kind of grown on me, but still whenever I look at my car I see three things that need attention, the gaps in my wheel wells, it needs something on the trunk lid be it stock or aftermarket, and my rear wheels could use some spacers behind them.

Wheel well gap:

Trunk Lid:

I was kinda thinking a set of Daytons with enough reverse offset that they will stick out really nice, no need for spacers

;)

Ha daytons on a mustang, no thanks. There is an older body style mid-late 90's Mustang with daytons on it in Couer D Alene, it looks alright, but I'm not trying to be a homie either.

If it is an aero improvement then yes, but mostly no. Funny thing is most cars would be better off aero wise with an simple air dam, but most people want the bling of the wing.

I really like the subtle rear wing/roof extender on the Volvo wagons. And they increase rear downforce by 40%. Which is good because they can be tail happy. Like this one.

I have a saleen kit on my 90.

...but I only run that because 1) the car runs welllll into the triple digits and 2) cuz the kit is wind tunnel / track tested in route to multiple championships. (its not some gawdy p.o.s that somebody just decided to make and sell)
