Call shinanigans if you will. I have owned this car since i was 15. My father bought the car as a heap of CRAP that it was (only body and chassy were in good shape) from a guy in Fife, Washington for 3,500 bucks. THe black paint was peeling and the gold was showing. The 350 was said to be new, but we had out doubts, but didnt care, we knew we were putting a thumper in :D

Ya, i thought it would hit 5. But then again, as the engine builder said, its not a roller motor. I already have CRAZY money into this motor. I couldnt afford to make it a roller motor at the time. Besides, this motor was made knowing I would spray from time to time. Hence the very spendy Torque converter (anti-ballooning B&M) :D But when I'm squeezing it would be 630 horsepower!!!

Here you go guys!!! 1969 Chevy 1-ton pickup 427 with rare 69 Corvette oval port heads. Motor list goes on forever. Either way here she is, guards red to match the car ![]() My friend Craig, helping my dad and I put the motor back in. Craig, like me was only like 22 at the time, and he was working on Ron Smith motor's Top Fuel Car. Needless to say, at 22 he knows 99% more than anyone when it comes to mechanics. Even my dad whos been racing for almost 40 years and he'll admit it! ![]() In the long process of painting, and wet sanding, and painting, and wetsanding....nice garage eh? ![]() Only photo I have of the car right now. 80% complete at this point. Its now at 98%, we just havent had time to have a wiring guy come over. Neither my dad nor I know how to wire. Doh. ![]() And my Favorite picture, is how deep and bright, this paint is. Here is the taillgiht housings all ready to be installed. Your screen, i guarantee you, cannot do this paint job justice!!!!

If you want my suggestion (being how i looked at a million of them) stick with late model porsche's. 01-04. Ford stole the name, and has used it on some of their bronco's apparently. Which is funny cause i wanted the brightest red that WASNT orangy. WHen you have porsche guards red next to dodge viper red, the viper red looks orangy, and i know how "poppy" the viper red is. So i cant wait to get it out in the sun this summer! Stay tuned for a write up on my dads 1970 Nova SS.
