How do you think this will effect Nascar in 2007? Positively? Negatively? I think it is positive because it is one more hand in the bucket. More competitive. I think it is negative because... - Not American company (may sound oh so horrible but true) - Steals Jobs from lower capped teams - Drives prices of research and development up - Toyota trying to be something they are not.

I feel that there are alot more venues that Toyota could be and are in. Something about Nascar just needs to stay US born. Although the stock cars of today hardly resemble(sp) the real cars anyway. Since when did ford and dodge come out with two door models that they race today. Chevy is the only true car on the market. And that's why I don't like NHRA that much anymore.just a bunch of whored out models anymore. Ok rant over, I think!!!

kinda like the AMA right. it's an American body so obviously only American bikes should be legal right?

hhmm, whats the argument for keeping it american? other than, "just because"? i think it could only add to the sport, although i don't see nascar emphasizing the type of car as much as the team and the driver. it is a competitive sport, and in any competitive sport you generally want more competition to make it better.

because toyota's more concerned with competing with the big three than getting into serious racing that could better develop their products. It would be great to see a team of 08 Supras on the speed GT series, knowing that Toyota is learning every week how to make the car faster and more reliable.

I dont care if you assemble the car in the U.S., Toyota is a Japanese company. Go ahead and add Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, everyone to fuckin Nascar. Woot.
